Marblehead Lighthouse State Park

Marblehead Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation on the Great Lakes, has guided sailors safely along the rocky shores of Marblehead Peninsula since 1822. Today, Marblehead Lighthouse State Park invites visitors to explore the fascinating history of maritime commerce, daring rescues at sea, and the unique lifestyle of the lighthouse keeper as technology changed the profession over time.

New**Are you interested in buying an engraved brick in memorial or honor of someone to be placed at the Lighthouse? We are soliciting interest in a project in which your name, message or memorial can become part of The Marblehead Lighthouse by being placed in a brick path on the Lighthouse grounds. Currently we are in the process of ordering our first group of bricks to start the pathway at the Lighthouse!  If you are interested please contact the Park Office at 419-734-4424 x 2 or by email at east.harbor.parks@dnr.state.oh.us
